What do we at Nature Shack stand for? That’s the question behind every business, isn’t it? For us, it’s about clean living. Not just what you put into your body, but how you leave your environment, how you impact your space, and what those decisions mean for you, and all of us.

We’re about thinking laterally. We’re about thinking about the future, and what kind of state we’re leaving the earth in for all the future generations. Every decision you make, every day, can make an impact, however large or small, and that impact is not just on you, but everyone. Pollution has become a hot topic over the years, and it’s no wonder – the lack of recycling, the widespread use of plastic, the unnecessary packaging that comes with every single purchase from your local store… all of these things add up. Multiply this by the amount of people in the world, and you have a huge amount of waste and litter, things that could be reused or recycled, if we only made those small changes that would make all the difference.

We’re about knowledge. Knowledge of what your body products contain, and what that means for your health, and the health of your home and family. Did you know your skin is porous, and many of the chemicals in commercial products are absorbed into your bloodstream? This may not seem like a big deal, until you understand how many chemicals are found in traditional commercial products like those used for skincare, household cleaning, in your garden, and on your pets. For me, once I made this discovery and did the research on what these chemicals can do, and what a lifetime of exposure can lead to, I made the change, and I’ve never looked back.

That’s what we’re here to help with. Educated decisions, and options for alternative products that are so safe, you can eat them (although we don’t necessarily recommend this). Through the products we sell, and the suppliers we buy from, we’re working on sustainable products that don’t cost the earth, which contain natural, organic ingredients, and are sourced in a responsible manner. We want to help empower small, local businesses who make a big difference with their products and views. We want to sell products which you can use again and again. We’re after a world where people understand that their presence on earth can be lived differently – the Nature Shack way.
